Paving the Path:
The Dedication Walkway involves a proposal to accept donations to purchase individually inscribed bricks, which will be assembled into the walkway of the soon-to-be constructed elevator lobby and tower.
Each purchase comes with a Certificate of Appreciation, suitable for framing, to give as a gift to your loved one.

The 8"x 8" Inscribed Brick
$350 ea.
The architectural design of the Dedication Walkway will accommodate an additional 8"x 8" size commemorative or memorial brick. This size will display up to five lines with a maximum of 15 characters per line, or two lines of text and a logo of any branch of the armed services or major veterans organization, for example, the American Legion or VFW.

Each commemorative or memorial brick will be inscribed with your personal message. The 4"x 8" size will accommodate up to three lines with a maximum of 15 characters per line.

Why a brick to honor the heroes?
The "Honor-A-Hero" Memorial Bricks will be laid along the dedication walkway leading to the newly designed entrance of the War Memorial Building. These bricks will form the dedication walkway that visitors will use daily. These bricks will be seen by thousands of people each year. Your "Honor-A-Hero" memorial brick may be seen by thousands of people each year. Besides, brick lasts a lot longer than wood. And if that's not enough of an explanation why a brick, here's a very heartfelt explanation:
Over the years, since the Civil War the men and women of Brockton have served bravely in Our Country's conflicts and many have given the ultimate sacrifice. To date over 422 of Brockton's finest have died on the fields of battle defending Our Country and their deed should be recognized.
The "Honor-A-Hero" Memorial Bricks will be a lasting demonstration to the dedication and honor Brockton and surrounding community residents hold for these men and women. We are proud of our military veterans and as all of us join forces to restore Brockton's War Memorial Building we know deep inside that a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine is watching from above with pride in their eyes. All gave some. Some gave all. Honoring the fallen is a tribute to all military veterans. So please, find it in your heart to make a donation in honor of our heroes.
